Eve Of Destruction Video

One of my most favorite songs from back in the mid-sixties, I hope this isn't what we voted for Tuesday, but it is definitely a REAL possibility! Four years will seem like an eternity to me. We are risking an awful lot just so we can experience a black Presidency and make history. History can kiss my ass!

Hey!
I have to agree. We are headed for some tough times. My Lovely Bride and I are getting our Concealed Hand Gun Licenses. I am so afraid of a major attack by all the whackos that have an ax to grind against the USA.

As I watch your video, it made me think hard about what the future consequences will be for being stylish.

A box has been opened in this country and it will never be the same.

We are headed into a bleak and dismal future if people do not wake up and rededicate themselves to the principles, believes, and ideals of our forefathers.

I we don’t, the “Eve of Destruction” will turn into the “Day of No Return.”

Joe,

A friend of mine over at Iraqi Mojo's made a very good point...at least Obama can't put Saddam back in power. We should be thankful for that.

TT, November 4th, 2008 was Black Tuesday and will always be Black Tuesday as far as I am concerned. That is the day I will always remember as the day America proved to me, beyond a shadow of a doubt, just how stupid the majority is. Maybe stupid is a bit harsh, perhaps gullible fits better. The media did a terrible disservice to our country. I hold them mostly responsible for what happened. They still haven't let go of Sarah Palin. What assholes!

C.H., thank God for that, because he probably would if he could. I read where the Iraqi President is confident that NObama will use good judgement while withdrawing troops---don't hold your breath!

A good Iraqi friend of mine is very fearful of what Obama might do. If not for any other reasons, this is why he has absolutely no business being anywhere near the White House. I get the impression he saw the success in Iraq as an obstacle to getting elected. That is just sad...

Good idea folks, the whackos from outside might not come for you, but the whackos who just got the reins of power will be coming after your gun and your right to defend yourself. That threatens them somehow.

I like your 'tude Joe. I too don't vote to make History, I couldn't have said it better myself.

I'm with you!
Please see my newest blog and let me know what you think.

C.H., we are so close in Iraq that I hope even he will see the stupidity of pulling out to quickly. The reason the SOFA is looking at 2011 is because that is very attainable, at least for the combat brigades. NObama's plan calls for half way through 2010. Whats an extra year to wrap up this thing the right way?

MK, most of us are keeping our gun ownership to ourselves. The more the government knows about who owns what, the worse off the country is. I hope and pray no one ever needs to get that extreme, but whether from outside, or within, we need to, and we have a constitutional right to protect ourselves, and that includes our freedom.

Z-Man, it was a pretty flimsy excuse to put that windbag in the most powerful seat in the world. I dread thinking of the "buyers remorse" we all face, even those of us who didn't participate in the purchase so to speak.

Conservative, welcome and thank you for agreeing. I'll drop by in a few minutes. I've been over to your place a few times, nice blog.

I agree with you Joe 120% that the media did a terrible disservice to our country. I can remember no other presidential election in recent memory where the media were so rooting for someone. I was watching my local news here in New York even before the results started coming in and a woman anchor said people are lining up to go the polls to be a part of history. Excuse me but just report the news.

Z-Man, I've voted in 11 Presidential elections, and I have never seen such a biased media. I also have never seen them attack the Vice Presidential candidate any where near with the ferocity that they bestowed on Sarah Palin. They must have been mighty afraid of her, and rightly so.

MyFiles, that's a good one, scary, but funny too. We males won't have to wear them, but there is NO WAY I'll ever wear a towel! At least not on my head!

Mustang, are you intimating that I am a bit outspoken(chuckle chuckle)? I guess one could say I do in fact have an opinion, and it is not a very positive one concerning "the messiah".

Angel, nah, the despair has started to wear off. Nothing a few(quite a few) White Russians couldn't cure. You can bet I'll keep in contact with you. I have "met" a whole bunch of really nice people here in the blogging circle and I have no intention of letting them go just because that asshole won. All the more reason to stay and keep up the good fight! We'll bounce back in 2010 and especially in 2012! That should be more than enough time for America to see what a HUGE MISTAKE they made!

Well said. Great video. And I can honestly say that NOBAMA is not what and who I voted for.

AA,
I loved the video. It made me think about my time in SEA. The line "I'm old enough for killin' but not old enough for votin'" hit home with me. I did my share of killin' and I was happy to do my share of votin' for Nixon. I voted for the first time in 1972 after I returned from SEA. I hope we're not heading for the Eve of Destruction, but it sure seems that way. Nice post, brother.

The decisive defeat Republicans suffered in Tuesday's election came because conservative voters decided the party had lost its way and did not support Mccain, not because the electorate has shifted to the left.
Just one guys opinion.

That was a great song, it fit the time perfectly.

How weird (and totally frightening!) to see that good ol' song with modern video...YIKES!

Fixing the media is our number one goal....firstly, because we can't have them leaking anymore (Especially with the one Clinton screamed at Morris about "RAHM? You told RAHM? He is THE biggest leaker!" as Chief of staff..wasn't that vetted??? Didn't obama ASK his new big buddy, Clinton?) and secondly because we can't have a media acting worse than Haiti's media, keeping the truth from us, never curious about anything but dirt on Republicans.

IT HAS TO STOP....but HOW?

I keep trying to convince Mr. Z we need a gun, too....so far, no good. Maybe it'll have to be up to me...stand back! ANNIE GET YOUR GUN!!!!

Hi Liz, welcome, glad you stopped by. My guess is that in a few years(maybe sooner) you will be hard pressed to find any middle class people who will admit to voting for him. Buyers remorse will be very widespread.

L&OTeacher, I fell in love with that song as soon as I first heard it. A couple of friends and I used to grab guitars and jam a little. We never actually made much out of it, but we did get pretty good at a few songs, and that was about our best. Just hearing it brings back some great memories. I sat at the M-60 in a Huey while over there. I was a Crewchief/gunner on a Huey over there, so I know I can pull the trigger if necessary. I hope I never have to, but it is comforting to know I can.

Frank, thanks for dropping by and commenting. I agree that a lot of the blame goes to the far right of the party, but I think many Americans have shifted left, especially the lower income voters. Of course the no income people were already on NObama's band wagon. Pray he is unable to get the illegal aliens legalized. That would make it a lot tougher to vote him out in 2012.

Mary, that song was a smash hit way back in the day, and you're right, it is very fitting today. I guess that's why I am so scared of NObama. I don't think Iran or North Korea are likely to forget about getting nuclear capability just because he sits down and has a chat with them.

Z, we need a few rich republicans to buy some of those networks to even the playing field. If I could, I sure would. Actually, they better smarten up or they WILL be sorry. The media is one of the first targets to be shut down or taken over by the government in Communism or Socialism. One would think that they would want to be on OUR side. I think keeping illegals illegal is a higher priority though, and so is stopping any attempt to start a NObama militia. We already have the National Guard. We don't need a gestapo too. Scary, be afraid, be VERY afraid!

Brooke, I just tried it and it was working. Try again, it's worth it. It's a nice old song from about 1965 during the Vietnam War protest era.

BZ, that makes two of us. If I could foretell the future, I'd be rich, and I'd also know whether to be even more afraid than I already am. I guess NObama plans to use executive orders to star the 180 "change" he talked about so incessantly. A scary bastard that one!
