AA, It is Valentines day. That is Saint Valenine's Day....In a few Muslims countries they have raided shops to remove any items that are red at this time of year. I read it recently on a post...Where I don't know and I cant confirm the truth of the post either, but it fits the occasion...stay well...
My husband never even wished me a Happy Valentine's Day, so I am glad someone did! Maybe it was the passing of the spending bill or something, but our hearts just weren't "into" this holiday this year.
By the way, I am surprised you did not blog about your senator bowing out from his Obama administration! I was kinda happy to see that!
Beth, Happy Valentines Day! It is hard to get into any kind of good mood these days what with the porkulus pot and all the other crap going down. I should have blogged about Senator Gregg I guess, but I had seen quite a few others that already had. I am VERY proud of him, both for saying yes he would take the Commerce job and then especially for pretty much giving the Halfrican the finger! He is a man of character, something of a rarety in politics these days.
My Lovely Bride and I are celebrating Valentine's Day a day late this year. We are going to Houston to see the Houston Aeros play and eat pizza at Steel City Pizzeria. This is the type of Valentine's Day WE like. Enjoying each other’s company in an activity we both enjoy. HAPPY V-DAY TO EVERYONE (even if it is a day late).
TT, you have the right idea. Don't let the commercialization ruin what should be a special day for loved ones. If that includes candy or flowers, so be it, but one should not feel they HAVE to go that route.
Angel, thank you sweetheart. Hugs right back at you!
Ocassionally you will see this on my site. It is the title of some of my very special posts where I compare NObama's words or actions to "WHAT WOULD AVERAGE AMERICAN DO?"
