Iraqis views on Iraqi Elections

An Iraqi citizen whose blog I read faithfully has had his work published in the New York Times, along with two other Iraqis. These three articles are their personal insights into the Provencial elections in Iraq last Saturday. I strongly recommend anyone looking for the truth, not just MSM's opinionated rubbish, to check out these fine works. Here is just a short sample of Dr. Mohammed's post that was not part of the article.

I went back from the polling center with my wife to our friends' house, and there we found some other friends of us and we took this photo that speaks almost everything….a group of real Iraqis; Sunnis, Shiites and a Kurd who all are united in friendship and in purple fingers, what a nice day it was, we had lots of fun and some useful political conversations.

The primary results till now shows the winning of Maliki at the first place then Dr.Ayad Alwai in the second place…If this will be the final results, then I'll be satisfied, the party I think is the best among the available candidates will take the second place; that's good for me.
And Maliki in my opinion is bad but he is much better than Dawa party with their Hakeem, and better than Sadriasts and Dr.Jaffari.
Well, I hope the candidates that people have elected and placed their faith in will not let us down.

Please take the time to read his entire post at "Last of Iraqis" and then follow this link for the full article, with all three op.eds at the N.Y.Times. You won't be disappointed!

These two pictures are both from Dr. Mohammed's blog. Five fingers dipped in blue. Two are Sunni, two are Shiite, and the last is Kurd. Five blue fingers. Five happy people. Five good friends. Who would have thought it. MSM, you have it all wrong. This kind of story DOES sell as well, or better, than the lies and half-truths you feed us on a daily basis. Try it sometime and see for yourself. Try the FRONT page next time!!

The Iraqis are doing better than the MSM will ever admit to!

"They will succeed if the Jihadists and other thugs would leave them alone"

That includes American liberals and the MSM who encourage jihadhist activity to publish on their hamster cage liner front pages right?

This war would've ended while Bush was standing on the carrier if the media and the traitor liberals didn't take the side of our enemies emboldening them all along the way.

Those photos are cool. Good for them!

These peaceful elections didn't happen by accident. There was a course of action, set by the U.S. military, that led to this remarkable moment.

Choke on that, MSM!

Brooke, very very true! I admonished the MSM in my post, but tried to be nice about it, why, I don't know.

Shoprat, they are almost there. At the rate things are improving, we really can be gone by Jan 2012. What a great day that will be.

Ray, I feel absolutely confident that history will give the credit where it belongs, to our fabulous troops and their GREAT CIC, President Bush!

PCC, those photos belong to Dr. Mohammed. I just hope he doesn't mind I used them to promote him. Some day, history, the world, and especially the Iraqis will look back and agree that as high as the price was, and it was extremely high, it was all worth it. Iraq is on the cusp of becoming the shining star for the whole region. I believe this with every fiber of my being. And yes, as I and many have said, it will be IN SPITE OF America's media.

Tapline, thank you. I also keep an eye on "Iraq the model", I read quite a few Iraqi blogs actually but "Last of Iraqis", "Sunshine", "Marshmallow", and "Shaggy" are my favorites. I think Iraq will do well. They seem to be "getting" this whole democracy thing now.

NO mention of this in the media!

NO props to the US military for this remarkable achievement.

NO credit to the past administration.

IT DOESN'T EXIST. OSTRICH TIME.

Screw the MSM! Go Iraq!

BZ, Wordsmith, this is EXACTLY why bloggers exist, to fill in the HUGE gaps left in MSM news coverage! It is a daunting job, but someone has to do it! President George Bush will be viewed by history as a great man. He and our military people, deserve a HUGE show of appreciation for a job spectacularly well done!!

Average, what a FANTASTIC post. MORE PEOPLE SHOULD SEE IT and it's not like I've got hundreds and hundreds, but I'm linking to your Iraqi site and crediting you ...

We all should do this: everybody link to this information. SOMEBODY'S got to combat the NYTimes/Obama GLOOM AND DOOM

I remember the elderly Iraqi woman w/ the purple finger from last year's election stating that she loved America and Pres. Bush and told the rest of the world where to go if they didn't...
Great blog...

Wandered over from Z's blog. Good post. This just goes on the long list of stories being hidden from the public by the MSM.

AA,
Good information. I appreciate your effort. Well done.

The MSM will start reporting positive stories about Iraq only when it will make Obama look good.

Great post. Thanks for sharing. I'm going to check out Dr. Mohammed's blog.

Z, thanks so much for helping me spread this important news. As I mentioned in the post, I have followed Dr. Mohammed for quite a while. He is upbeat one day and depressed the next, but I can always count on him to give an honest personal evaluation of the goings on in Iraq. Sometimes it's good news, sometimes not, but it is always real!

Carol, thanks so much for stopping by. I've seen you around quite a bit, not sure I've ever visited, but I will now. I think the Iraqis are starting to get the hang of this election thing. Their's didn't run perfect, but I think they did at least as well as we did. (to be read as better)

Chuck, maybe someday if we pray hard enough, the MSM will respond with a little good old-fashioned honest reporting. Oh well, I can still dream can't I? You're on my blog roll now so I'll remember to drop in and say hi.

L&O Teacher, thanks. Is your blogging vacation almost over? I'll drop by later on and find out.

MA, we have got to make sure NObama never gets the credit for what Bush accomplished. I mean either way, it was our superb military people that get the big kudos, but it was all under Bush's term not the messiah's. I'm glad you liked the post and I know you will like Dr. Mohammed's also. I'll drop in and check yours out in a little bit.

Sorry to say it but Iraq is not our proble right now. we have a bigger one in the white house!

I read that slightly over 50% of Iraqis voted. Maybe it's just me, but I was hoping the number would be higher. I'm so proud of the Iraqis. They have such potential as a Democratic nation.

I read another post about Iraqis views on the Elections today.... yes the Iraqis are doing much better thanks to the troops & Bush!! The elections were a success! I hope now that they have had a taste of Democracy they can keep it!!
It is maddening that the general public listen to media and are left in the dark as to what is actually happening. Most Iraqis love America & the troops (not the other way around as the Media would have you believe).
Great post!! Thanks for your work!!

Bob, you're right, the biggest problem is in the White House. That does not diminish the other problems we have however. Actually, I think we will manage to handle Iraq correctly. Thank God for our military and their leaders. NObama might pull this one off in spite of himself and his inexperience.

Debbie, I believe it was 51% to be exact. Not as good as I had hoped either, but just as good as we did. I think the potential is staggering. A functioning democracy in the middle east, with an American equipped and American trained military, just might be the start of a brand new beginning.

Red voice, thank you for stopping by and for the glowing support. Our military can certainly hold their heads high with pride for what they have accomplished over there. George Bush will be dealt with kindness once history has it's say. He did a "whale of a job!!" The media may NEVER get back to where they report the news instead of opine the "news". That is where we bloggers have to do there jobs for them. A tough job, but someone has to do it.
