Veterans's Day

What did you do to observe Veterans Day today? Did you march in a parade? Did you participate in ceremonies at local monuments? Did you go watch the ceremonies or parade if there was one? Did you fly the American flag proudly? Did you, at the very least, take a moment at 11:00 this morning to think about the significance of today? Or maybe, like most Americans, did you not do a God Damned thing about it?

Tens of millions of Americans, maybe even 100's of millions, have served their country proudly over the last 2 and 1/2 centuries. Millions of them paid for your freedom with their lives. Many millions more came home in pieces, either physically or mentally. Could you not find a few minutes to show your respect, your appreciation, for their sacrifice? SHAME ON YOU if you couldn't!! Maybe you should find another home, because you are NOT a true American! You don't like being scolded for your pathetic apathy? Tough Shit!! You deserve it!

To all of you Veterans, currently serving patriotic Americans, and regular citizens who took a few minutes out of your busy lives to care, from the bottom of this Veteran's heart----

THANK YOU!!!

I'm hoping my Vet's Day blog was a helpful honor, to remind people of the greatness of our soldiers.
Gosh, other than that, I had lunch with a friend, had a doc's appointment and brought home spaghetti and meatballs to give myself a treat :-)

Tuesday, I saw a reservist walking by and rolled my window down and said 'Thanks for your service'! She smiled and said "Thanks!" What thrilled me was she didn't seem the slightest bit amazed; maybe they're getting more of that these days? I hope so.

You're right, AA...we could all do a LOT MORE.

Thanks Z. You have always been a staunch supporter of the military and yes, your post was great, as usual.

What set me off was how the day went here. We had probably 25 or 30 Legion and V.F.W. members that traveled around the city to the 6 memorial areas, laying wreaths accompanied with the usual flags, bugle, prayers, and gun salutes. That part was fine. The audience, or more correctly, the lack of audience, was what got me going. One would think that a small city of about 10,000 might have a few more patriotic types in it's midst. The record turnout for the day was--MAYBE--2 dozen, and that was only at the memorial park which contains most of the monuments. The others were a lot less, except for the two little towns north of us which also had a couple dozen each--and populations of less than 1000. What ever happened to patriotism? It truly saddens me. Guess this old vet needs to find a pasture.

Sometimes, I don't think there is an adequate way to ever thank our Veterans for what they have done and continue to do everyday. But honestly, I feel like those of us on the right, even by us blogging, but also by us getting involved and trying to take our country back from the grip of progressivism is how we can show our appreciation for all the sacrifices that have been made to make our country free, so that their sacrifices have not been in vain.

U.S. Military have taken solemn oathes to "defend the Constitution against all enemies, both foreign and domestic."

They told us that the "the terrorists attacked us on 9/11 because they hate our freedom." Well, as far as I can tell no "al kider terra'ist" has taken away ANY of our freedom. But you know who has?...This treasonous so-called "government" we have in the Washington District of Criminals.

In light of the most recent outrage, the "Indefinite Detention" bill (S. 1867), I think it's time the U.S. Military take care of the REAL enemies of this republic.

By the way, I am the author of the Truthseeker Archive blog.

I would also like to make you aware of a new message board and forum a friend of mine and I have just recently started, which is dedicated to COMPLETE freedom of speech and geared towards those of the "truthseeker" point of view. We would love to have you join.
