May you all have a blessed and memorable Veteran's Day 2012. Today is the one day of the year, more than any other day, to reflect on just how how much sacrifice is and was offered up by America's veterans and current service members, AND their families. Please, please, please thank as many vets today as you possibly can. You have absolutely no idea how much vets will appreciate such a small token of your appreciation. Those few words are no small thing to the ears of someone who gave more than you can imagine for you and your way of life. It really does mean the world to them.
Would you like to go a step further? How about buying that vet you ran into a coffee, maybe even a lunch? Spend a short while just chatting. Visit an "Old Soldiers Home." If you stop by your local VFW or American Legion post in the early afternoon hours, you will probably meet up with many vets. Thank every one of them and shake their hands. Put a smile on their faces. Do you have veteran friends or relatives? CALL them! Thank them today! Today of all days, every time you say "Thank you for your service" your heart will swell and you will feel all the better for it. You will get almost as much out of it as the vet you thanked. Don't believe me, try it, and prove it to yourself. How many vets can you Thank today? Set a realistic goal and then meet---or surpass it. From the bottom of my heart, Thank You!
