HAPPY VETERANS DAY!!

HAPPY VETERANS DAY!! Please have a great day but remember to fly your American Flag proudly and stop what you're doing for a few moments at 11:00 and reflect on the reason we celebrate November 11th every year.

My families last living World War ll veteran died on November 1st, 2014.  We buried him on November 8th, which would have been his 101st birthday!  RIP Harry Stephenson!  May God Bless you and keep you by his side.

Oh, Harry Stephenson...look at that nice, young smiling picture of you on that grave. We thank you for your service and we literally weep today for your buddies who didn't make it all those years ago, while we celebrate your very great many years.
As a family predecessor, we thank you for giving us Average American as a blogging partner; he's a respected part of our blogosphere corner.

Avg American. THANK YOU for reminding me to PUT MY FLAG UP today!
God bless you and God bless our country!!

Thanks for dropping in Z. I don't spend much time blogging lately but every once in a while I just have to check in on all my old friends and even put up a post or 2.

AA,
Thank you for that personal photo. My family lost our WW2 vets so long ago, and each of them was in his late 30's or early 40's when they passed. I think that my cousins who served at Normandy never got over what they experienced there.
